Growing up as a bit of a tomboy in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, no one is more surprised than me that I would come to love the world of interior design! I tried a number of careers - high school English teacher, guidance counselor, children’s ministry, human resources, and professional organizer. And although I’m sure each of those contributed to my journey, I had no idea where that journey would lead.

When I worked as a professional organizer, I loved helping people clear out their excess “stuff.” My clients were thrilled with their organized rooms and some even said I changed their lives! And of course, that was rewarding. But if they only knew how much more I wanted to do! I could envision with some rearranging, updating and new purchases, not just an organized room, but a beautifully designed one!

I was introduced to the idea of home staging and it was a wonderful way to use my love of organizing and design! Buyers respond to homes that are organized, furniture arrangements that make sense, and decor that is fresh and current. And I love assisting home sellers in making those changes that will help them enter the market strong so they get the most money for their home as possible.

As some of my former home staging clients asked if I would help to design their new homes, I quickly fell in love with everything design! From the exciting process of selecting flooring, tile, light fixtures and more for a new build home to helping homeowners select the furniture that will give them the “look” they are after, I love the unique designer-client relationship and the privilege of designing a space that reflects their family’s lifestyle and personality.

Who knew? Well God knew, and I thank Him for the unexpected gifts He had planned for me all along. I can’t wait to share these gifts with many more clients to come.
